Luna Lovegood

She had straggly, waist-length, dirty-blond hair, very pale eyebrows, and protuberant eyes that gave her a permanently surprised look . . . the girl gave off an aura of distinct dottiness. Perhaps it was the fact that she had stuck her wand behind her left ear for safekeeping, or that she had chosen to wear a necklace of butterbeer caps, or that she was reading a magazine upside down.

--Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Chapter Ten
Luna Lovegood is in Ravenclaw and was introduced in the fifth Harry Potter book. She is described as having a hazy voice and believes in unusual, outlandish, creatures and theories.

Many students make fun of her and call her "Loony." However, by the time Half-Blood Prince was released, it seemed that she had found her place with Harry Potter and his friends. Luna kind of grows on you, as Ron stated in Half-Blood Prince.

Ronald Weasley

He was tall, thin, gangling, with freckles, big hands and feet, and a long nose.

--Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Chapter Six
Ronald Weasley is Harry Potter's best friend. He comes from a large family and, as a result, can sometimes be insecure of himself, especially in regard to Quidditch.

When he was first introduced to Luna Lovegood, he reacted as most students have in the past and thought her absolutely loony. In Half-Blood Prince, however, he began to find her amusing and even complimented her Quidditch commentary.
